Books for Kids about Step-Families

Living in a step-family can be a confusing and difficult situation for children.  After going through a divorce, the child may have issues understanding who this new parental figure is or difficulties respecting his/her presence.  Furthermore, the child could experience problems adjusting to having a new sibling(s).  The following books were chosen by Child Centered Solutions because they do a wonderful job at breaking down the situation into terms that a child can understand.  The books are also beneficial for the parents because they provide insight into what the child may be feeling, which will allow the parents to better accommodate the child.
