The following compilation of books was selected by a focus group of teenagers.  These books cover a wide-range of issues and categories.  There are some for different sexes, ethnicities, living situations, and age variability.  The Divorce Express, portrays an extremely common circumstance where a child must spend time far away from other loved ones as he/she lives with one of the parents.  This book taps into the emotional difficulties a teen may experience in a situation such as this, and teaches the teen useful coping methods to help make the situation as healthy as possible.  Lois Nightingale’s book, My Parents Still Love Me Even Though Though They Are Getting Divorced, does a wonderful job of describing the teen’s psyche and helping the reader understand that the experienced feelings are normal and a positive resolution can come out of a seemingly unhealthy situation.
